I never finished it.

I agree with the Braveheart assessment. Much like the Godfather. They are all standalone (which is why Godfather 1 and 2 are not here).

I can go with Predator. I liked it. Maybe a marathon for Sci-fi/thrillers though? I would actually include Running Man or Total Recall there. They were based on decent books at least.

Re: Best Action Flick Marathon Ever

Drew,

A couple of things in response.

(1) I did not show a lack of imagination; only appreciation for great movie franchises. ;)

(2) You said: "I could watch the entire Die Hard series back-to-back with no problem. Best action movie franchise ever. Hands down."

Well hallelujah! At least you got one thing right! ;)

(2) When you listed Collateral (Tom Cruise), I thought you meant Collateral Damage (Arnold Schwarzenegger). I almost cursed out loud! :-P

(3) Braveheart is the greatest movie ever and in a class all its own. I don't know that it fits a category like "action flick." Perhaps "awesome flick" is more appropriate.

(4) Good call with Batman Begins, I forgot to include that on my list (to which I would add the original Batman and Batman Returns).

(5) Some sci-fi flicks cross over into the action genre, so The Matrix and Alien counts (so would Predator which is also an awesome movie!).

I could say much more but I will cut it off at the number of grace. :)
